Terms of Use

Effective October 31, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Sunroom app for iPhone and iPad ("Sunroom", "the app"), published by Marjhorie D Mahinay ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Sunroom you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, these Terms apply to the extent the Apple EULA allows.

1. Using Sunroom

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Sunroom on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or distribute the app.

2. Not medical advice

Sunroom is for fun mental exercise and entertainment. It is not a medical device or a medical, psychological or cognitive assessment, and it doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, including memory loss or dementia. Skill scores, levels and streaks show how you're doing in the games only. If you're worried about your memory or health, please talk to a doctor.

3. Family sharing

If you invite family members, they can see the progress summary described in our Privacy Policy and send you short notes. Please only invite people you know and trust, and only send notes that are kind and appropriate. Sharing runs on Apple's iCloud and is subject to Apple's terms. You can stop sharing at any time in the app.

4. Price and purchases

This version of Sunroom is free and contains no in-app purchases or ads. If we later offer an optional paid subscription, we'll update these Terms first. Any purchase will be made through Apple's App Store and be subject to Apple's terms, with prices shown in the app before you buy, and refunds handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Your progress

Your progress is stored on your device and in your iCloud. If you delete the app and its iCloud data, or stop using iCloud, your progress, garden and keepsakes may be lost, and we can't restore them.

6. Changes and ending service

We may update, change or discontinue features of Sunroom. If we ever stop offering Sunroom, the app you've downloaded can keep working, but we may stop updating it, and family sharing depends on Apple's iCloud continuing to support it.

7. Disclaimers

Sunroom is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of Sunroom. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us through the App Store in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer laws of your country of residence require otherwise.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, mention them in the app's release notes. If you keep using Sunroom after an update, you accept the new Terms.
