We're happy to help, and there's no such thing as a silly question.

Getting comfortable

The text is too small. Can I make it bigger?

Yes. In Sunroom, tap Settings at the bottom right and turn on Extra large text. Sunroom also follows the text size you set for your whole device in Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size.

How do I turn the voice or sounds off?

Tap Settings at the bottom right and turn off Read instructions aloud or Gentle sounds.

Can Sunroom remind me to play?

Yes. In Settings, turn on Daily reminder and pick a time. Sunroom will ask once for permission to send notifications.

Playing

What are "Today's games"?

Each day Sunroom picks four games from different skills, about twelve minutes in all. You can play them in any order, or play any game you like from the All Games tab.

A game is too hard (or too easy).

Each game adjusts to you: it gets a little harder after a round that goes well and a little gentler after one that doesn't. Try the practice round first. It never counts against you.

How does the garden work?

The garden on the home screen shows the last seven days. Every day you play, that day's flower blooms. Tap a flower to make it dance.

What are keepsakes?

Medals you collect for milestones, like your first puzzle, a sunny week of play, trying every game, or playing together with family. See them all in the Keepsakes tab and tap one to look closer.

What are sunbeams?

Sunbeams ☀️ are little rewards you earn from every game, from finishing today's games, from playing together and from the daily gift on the home screen. They raise your level, from Seedling all the way to Sunroom Star, and you can spend them on decorations for your garden, like butterflies, a sleepy cat or a duck pond. Tap Decorate on the garden to visit the shop. Sunroom has no purchases: sunbeams can only be earned by playing.

What is the journey?

Every star you earn moves you along a path of 24 places, from a sunny meadow to a seaside village, lavender hills, an old town, a mountain lake and a starlit shore. Each place gives you a postcard with a little true fact you can read or listen to, and the colors of the whole app change as you reach each new region. Tap the journey card on the home screen to see the map.

Family

How does Play together work?

Open the Together tab and tap Start a game. Type both names, then take turns on the same phone: three rounds of riddles, quick sums, "guess the year" and more, with a story break after each round. At the end you see your team score.

How do I invite family to follow my progress?

Open the Together tab, tap Invite family, then Let family cheer you on, and send the invitation by Messages, Mail or any way you like. When they open it on their iPhone or iPad with Sunroom installed, they'll see your garden and can send you notes.

What can my family see?

Your first name, your streak, how many puzzles you've played, which days you played in the last six weeks, your skill scores and your last few games. They can't see anything else. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I stop sharing?

Open Settings › Family in Sunroom and tap Stop sharing. Everyone you invited loses access straight away. You can also remove one person at a time with See who can follow you.

The invitation won't open.

Both people need to be signed in to iCloud and have Sunroom installed. Ask for a new invitation and open it on the iPhone or iPad where Sunroom is installed.

Your progress

How do I keep my progress on a new iPhone or iPad?

Sunroom saves to your iCloud automatically. Sign in with the same Apple Account on the new device, make sure iCloud is on, then open Sunroom.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no Sunroom account and nothing to sign up for.

Is Sunroom a medical or memory test?

No. Sunroom is for fun mental exercise. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything. If you're worried about your memory, please talk to your doctor.
